Sanskrit Day celebration

Sanskrit Divas (Sanskrit Day) was celebrated in Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya on 31.08.2026. Organized by the Dept. of Sanskrit, this grand programme was attended by Mr. Tusar Kumar Majumdar (MLA of Pandua and President of the institute's GB), Principal Dr. Goutam Bit, Faculty members from various departments and students. The auditorium came alive with the serene and melodious chanting of Sanskrit mantras during Lighting of lamp, Saraswati Vandana and Gita recitation. Two online lectures were held on 30th and 31st August, discussing great heritage of Sanskrit and professions related to the study of Sanskrit. There were other attractions like competitions on Poster-making, Sanskrit singing, Subhashita reciting and quiz. Simple Spoken Sanskrit was also encouraged in daily life. The Sanskrit teachers of the college were felicitated for their tireless contribution in serving the devabhasha.


National Sports Day 2026

National Sports Day was celebrated in Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya on 29.08.2026. This day is commemorated as Hockey legend Dhyan Chand's birthday and is celebrated by the Government of India as part of the Khelo India and Fit India campaigns. The programme was organized by the Sports Committee and NSS Unit of Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya. Students took part in competitions like Throwball, Badminton and Sports Quiz.


AIDS Awareness Programme

The NSS Unit and Cultural committee of Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with Karna Subarna Welfare Society (Chinsurah), organized an awareness programme on HIV/AIDS on 25.08.2026. This was part of the Intensified IEC Campaign 2026 of National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and WB State AIDS Prevention and Control Society. The important points regarding HIV/AIDS was discussed in form of a drama staged in street-play style, which was very much appreciated by the audience. Awareness pamphlets on HIV/AIDS and related laws were distributed among the students.


Har Ghar Tiranga programme

Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya and its various departments are going to organize multifaceted programmes for celebrating the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign during 9-17 August, 2026. The programmes include Invited lectures, Quiz competitions, Cultural performances (Dance, Song), Poster competitions, Photo exhibitions on the theme of national identity and pride.


Awareness Programme on Nasha Mukta Bharat

The NCC and NSS units of Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya organized an awareness programme on Nasha Mukta Bharat on 02.08.2026. The programme consisted of live virtual programme by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and lecture sessions, and MLA(Pandua) Mr. Tushar Kumar Majumdar graced the occasion as the chief guest.


Library Orientation Programme for students

The Central Library of Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya is going to organize a two-day long Library Orientation programme for all students of the institute during July 21-22, 2026. The programme is going to take place in the Diamond Jubille Auditorium.


Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Smritipokkho (23 June - 6 July, 2026)

Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya is going to organize a fortnight long memorial programme (Smritipokkho) to celebrate the life and works of Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee. There will be a keynote talk by Dr. Hiten Patel (Professor, RBU) as well as several other talks by faculty members of Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya. Additionally, there will be departmental programmes and debate and essay competitions for students


Yoga Sangam : Celebration of International Day of Yoga 2026

Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya is proud to organize Yoga Sangam (International Day of Yoga) 2026, which is an initiative of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India. The programme will be held during 6:30-7:45 AM on 21st June, 2026.


Paschimbanga Dibas Celebration

Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya is going to celebrate Paschimbanga Dibas on 20th June, 2026. The programme would include Keynote address by academicians and Essays and Quiz Contests.


NSS Special Camp (one week)

A special camp is being organized by NSS (BN Mahavidyalaya) which would take place during June 15-22, 2026. The theme for this programme is "Youth for Community transformation, health, environment and social responsibility.


Army recruitment Drive and Army Awareness Programme

A programme on Army Recruitment Drive and Army awareness was held on 16.03.2026 in Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya, in coordination with Army recruitment board, Barrackpore Cantt., WB, the concerned ARO officers were present.


Khelo India Asmita league (International Women's Day)

Asmita league, a Khelo India event conducted by Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports, was organized at Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya on the occasion of International Women's Day (08.03.2026). There were sporting events and fun activities for women of different age-groups.


Celebration of National Science Day 2026

Bejoy Narayan Mahavidyalaya is going to celebrate National Science Day 2026 in collaboration with the Zoological Association of Burdwan.
